The Bumping Lake Trail (Trail #971) in Washington’s Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest is a moderately challenging, multi-use path offering hiking, backpacking, fishing, and winter snowshoeing, known for its lake views, creek crossings, potential blowdowns, and connection to the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). It’s accessible via Highway 410 and features beautiful scenery, but be prepared for obstacles like fallen trees, mud, and bugs, especially along the shoreline or near the Swamp Lake junction.
